Who you are:

• A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification
• The individual must possess the ability to read, write, communicate, and comprehend the English language.
• Capacity to operate autonomously with minimal supervision
• Must be prepared to deliver the highest quality of personal and customer service to clients in a respectful and compassionate manner.

Essential Job Duties:

• Providing assistance to the client in the performance of daily activities, such as but not limited to ambulation, bathing, dressing, dining, toileting, personal hygiene, and other activities as applicable
• Change bed linens, launder and iron resident laundry, and perform basic housekeeping tasks.
• Assist clients in maintaining their mental health and alertness by engaging in conversation, reading aloud, or entertaining them.
• Obtain household supplies and perform errands in a timely manner, among other tasks, as requested by the client.
• Plan, prepare, and serve meals to clients as required.
• Be available to accompany you to doctor’s appointments and other events as required.
• Informs the supervisor promptly of any unusual occurrences or changes in the client.
• In a timely manner, the necessary data is accurately documented using the appropriate forms.
• Adheres to established performance standards and executes responsibilities in accordance with facility policies and procedures
• Recognizes safety hazards and emergency situations and promptly takes the necessary action to ensure the client’s safety.

As mandated by a licensed residential care facility, all employees must successfully complete background investigations, which include a fitness-for-duty physical, fingerprinting, and employment references.
