Who you are:
- A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification
- The individual must possess the ability to read, write, communicate, and comprehend the English language.
- Capacity to operate autonomously with minimal supervision
- Must be prepared to deliver the highest quality of personal and customer service to clients in a respectful and compassionate manner.
Essential Job Duties:
- Providing assistance to the client in the performance of daily activities, such as but not limited to ambulation, bathing, dressing, dining, toileting, personal hygiene, and other activities as applicable
- Change bed linens, launder and iron resident laundry, and perform basic housekeeping tasks.
- Assist clients in maintaining their mental health and alertness by engaging in conversation, reading aloud, or entertaining them.
- Obtain household supplies and perform errands in a timely manner, among other tasks, as requested by the client.
- Plan, prepare, and serve meals to clients as required.
- Be available to accompany you to doctor’s appointments and other events as required.
- Informs the supervisor promptly of any unusual occurrences or changes in the client.
- In a timely manner, the necessary data is accurately documented using the appropriate forms.
- Adheres to established performance standards and executes responsibilities in accordance with facility policies and procedures
- Recognizes safety hazards and emergency situations and promptly takes the necessary action to ensure the client’s safety.
As mandated by a licensed residential care facility, all employees must successfully complete background investigations, which include a fitness-for-duty physical, fingerprinting, and employment references.
