As a personal care attendant, you will have a significant impact on the lives of the residents by providing routine personal care services in their homes and assisting with the activities of daily living.

• Assist with the activities of daily living by providing personal assistance in the domestic environment.
• While promoting the client’s independence and ensuring their privacy and safety, assist with oral/dental care, bathing, hygiene, toileting, and/or showering.
• As directed, assist the client with a basic range of motion exercises or other activities.
• Encourage the resident to maintain a certain level of independence and provide assistance with meal preparation. Monitor appetite and provide recommendations for dietary planning.
• Encourage clients to make their own decisions when it is appropriate to foster independence.
• Report any grievances or complaints that consumers may have submitted.
• Execute routine maintenance tasks for clients.
• Assist the client in and out of their preferred activities. Motivate clients to engage in activities.
