The Therapy Services Department is currently seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and enthusiastic individual to join and gain experience working alongside a team of therapy assistants. This is a thrilling opportunity. The therapy assistant will provide assistance to a diverse array of therapists in the fields of occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, and physiotherapy.

The position entails conducting in-person interactions with patients, monitoring patient progression, working independently, performing janitorial tasks, maintaining equipment, and performing clerical and support duties. Additionally, the incumbent will supervise additional intermediate assistants and volunteers.

The successful applicant will primarily rotate in physiotherapy across orthopaedics, acute respiratory, and neuro rehabilitation on a six-month cycle to develop and enhance their knowledge, skills, and experience. The departments offer services to both inpatients and outpatients, and there is a possibility of some off-site work. A consistent in-service training program is implemented. This position is scheduled for 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
